Ram & Sons

Stand: M12

Ram & Sons Ltd was established in 2014. We are a family run business and between the two directors of the business, we have over 30 years combined professional experience of working hands on within the construction industry, therefore we know what our clients require.

At Ram & Sons we can take on package work and also supply day rate labour works. We carry out all ground works, RC framework and labour supply. No job is too big or too small for us. We operate out of the UK and have expanded our business to cover some major European cities on some of the most diverse and exciting construction projects.

Our UK based work focuses on new building works and commercial projects. We are confident that we will get the job done to the highest standard that our customers have come to expect from us. Our former completed works have sent the precedence for us and are testament to our skills.

We have been part of many major projects including the construction of the Network Rail ROC building in Romford, UPS Logistics centre in DP World as well as numerous new house building works. We have been involved in projects under major contractors including, but not limited to, Mace, ISG Plc, Balfour Beatty, Costain JVMP, Ward & Burke Construction Ltd, Ohalloran & Obrien Ltd, Westridge Construction Ltd, Bryne & King Ltd, Via Build NV to name a few. These construction projects have a current turnover of circa £6million. We therefore have the confidence in our abilities to deliver above and beyond the expectations of our clients.

Our International operation has gone from strength to strength in a very short space of time. Since 2018 to current date, we have had the opportunity to be part of two major hyperscale data centre projects.

Within the first project, we supplied day work labour to a sub-contractor for the reinforced concrete works for a major Social Media company based in Denmark. The whole project value was €100 million. This project was the turning point in getting Ram & Sons Ltd name out there as a serious contender in the construction industry.

The second of the International projects sees us currently working on groundworks and concrete work packages for another Social Media heavyweight, this time based in Belgium. The whole project value is around €350million.

We understand the demands of large hyperscale projects. Our first priority is the safety of all involved and we always ensure that all employees and subcontractors understand that Health and Safety is paramount. The quality of our work speaks for itself and our reputation defines that.

UK tech trade body techUK has released a second Covid-19 survey investigating the effects of the pandemic on the nation's technology sector, building on an initial survey published last month that indicated the sector might be insulated from much of the impact.

Over 100 technology organisations responded to the updated urvey - half of them small businesses with less than 50 employees. techUK counts 850 companies as members that collectively employ almost half of UK tech sector employees.

Overall, the sector still seems cautiously optimistic that the most extreme economic effects of the outbreak can be avoided, with only 6 percent fearing a halt to trading in the short-term. Longer term, businesses are more uncertain, with 30 percent concerned about their ability to trade if restrictions are extended.

The video calling platform said its usage has “ballooned” since the start of the coronavirus pandemic as millions of people were forced to work and study from home.

British satellite Internet company OneWeb has filed for bankruptcy in the US after attempts to secure funding for a commercial launch were checked by the coronavirus fears.

The firm, which had already secured billions in funding from investors such as Softbank, Qualcomm and the Government of Rwanda, was hoping to take its space-bound internet service commercial before the end of next year.
